西口広場は、総面積350haの国営公園のメインゲートである。ゲートの内側に約1haの噴水池を整備し、太平洋への軸線を強調したデザインを提案した。

1999年にはイベント機能を強化するために、広場の改修と共にステージの屋根となるパビリオンを整備した。パビリオンは、池への視線を遮ることなく既存の円形ステージと調和するよう、アーチ型のガラス屋根を採用した。

2000年には西口広場内にある老朽化した売店及びその前面テラスの改修を行い、広場利用者が集う賑わい空間を創出した。

The West Entrance Plaza is the main gate of a national park with a total area of 350 hectares. D+M proposed a design that would emphasize the axis to the Pacific Ocean by constructing a fountain pond of about 1 hectare inside the gate.

In 1999, the square was renovated and a pavilion was built to cover the stage and enhance its event functions. The pavilion adopted an arched glass roof to blend in with the existing circular stage without blocking the view to the pond.

In 2000, the aging shop in the west exit plaza and its terrace were renovated, creating a lively space where users of the plaza can gather.

西口广场是总面积为350公顷的国家公园的主入口。在入口内侧，设置了约1公顷的喷泉池，提出了强调太平洋轴线的设计。

为了强化活动功能，1999年进行了广场改造，并设立了作为舞台屋顶的亭子。该亭子采用了弧形玻璃屋顶，与现有的圆形舞台和谐搭配，同时不遮挡对池子的视线。

2000年对西口广场内的老旧售货亭及其前面的露台进行了改造，创造了一个供广场使用者聚集的繁荣空间。
